Erving's Drug Screening of Illinois is seeking a Drug and Alcohol Technician/Collector for part-time and full-time positions, supporting various employers who require pre-employment, post-accident, and random drug and breathe alcohol screening.
This position may require observing donors providing specimen collection.
Maintaining an efficient and friendly office routine and environment
Preparing samples to be sent to the lab
Completing drug and alcohol collections by the Department of Transportation (DOT) and non-DOT industry standards as well as evidential breath alcohol testing requirements. These tests will require the collection of bodily fluids and specimens such as urine, hair, and/or saliva.
Maintains positive internal and external customer service relationships
Maintains open lines of communication
Plans and organizes work effectively and ensures its completion
Meets all productivity requirements
Demonstrates team behavior and promotes a team-oriented environment
Actively participates in EDS Quality Improvement
Represents the organization professionally at all times
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision; ensure protection and confidentiality of personal and healthcare data collected; provide exceptional customer service with a positive attitude and demeanor to all employers and employees being tested; and maintain, at least, a 98% EDS Quality Improvement rate for all tests performed.
The ideal candidate will have the flexibility to work various hours, which will be scheduled in advance, to meet the needs of the employer. Some candidates may also be required to respond to On-Site and Mobile testing within 1.5 hours of receiving requests for post-accident testing.
Position Requirements & Competencies:
A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Strong customer service, problem-solving, and telephone etiquette are essential

Excellent computer skills; basic Microsoft Office Suite and overall web proficiency
Must be able to work in a multi-functional position

Reliable vehicle to travel to other locations if needed. We will provide access to a laptop and scanner for traveling purposes.
